We just wrapped up a full Mitsubishi Electric heat pump system install for a home here in Sandy, Utah. This is an all-electric setup - no gas furnace, no separate AC unit. One system handles both heating and cooling, and it does both really well.

The indoor air handler is a ducted Mitsubishi unit that ties into the home's existing ductwork. It's a clean, compact install that fits neatly into the utility space. The dual-fan outdoor unit is mounted on a solid pad with proper standoffs, keeping it level and stable through freeze-thaw cycles - which Sandy definitely gets.

Here's why this setup makes a lot of sense for Utah homeowners. Summers along the Wasatch Front are hot. Winters get genuinely cold. A lot of heat pump systems struggle when temps drop hard, but Mitsubishi's Hyper-Heating technology is rated to keep pulling heat from the air even in sub-zero conditions. That's not a small deal when you're talking about January in the Salt Lake Valley.

On the cooling side, this system will run circles around a standard central AC in terms of efficiency. Mitsubishi's inverter-driven compressors ramp up and down based on demand instead of cycling on and off. That means more consistent temps, lower energy bills, and less wear on the equipment over time.

All-electric systems like this are also worth paying attention to from a cost standpoint. Depending on your current utility setup, ditching gas can simplify your monthly bills and reduce long-term maintenance. We're proud to bring this kind of reliable, efficient comfort to homes in Sandy and throughout the area.
